Or just put them in the twitter thread, where they would be more appropriate.....and where they wont annoy a proportion of members.
One of the other mods told me to put them in the players threads so make up your minds, also they stimulate discussion, but as you have asked i shall put them in the twitter thread from now on

The way I see it with Stones is that the last 2 managers trying to sign him have been Mourinho and Pep, if he's good enough for them...

Its not about spendng more, its about wasting time making token offers thst ate mever going to be accepted to look like hard negotiators. Surely to god a meeting of all parties around a table would wpuld speed up this nonsense!!!!

We knocked 6 million off of Sterling's price by doing it. That suggests the foundation of your argument (offers will never be accepted) is flawed.

I Prefer them in the its quiet thread as a round up at the end of the day. twitter thread is more general.

whats quite sickening about this is the fact samuel umitit was signed by barca for 21m. we'll end up paying 50mil for stones :(
sickening? It gets said a lot on here but fuck it. It's not your money. Your only concern should be if stones plays well or not. if city value him at 50 and barca value umitit(whatever he's called) at 21 who gives a shit. It doesn't effect your life in anyway.

Seems like a long time ago people were talking about getting him for circa £30m after a terrible season at Everton, two months later and we're apparently paying £53m?

Jesus. Christ.

Hope he comes good, but he has an enormous amount of improvement needed to become a top PL centre half, let alone a top European one - and for that kind of money you'd be expecting one.

thats your opinion, and you're fully entitled to that. i just take a different approach, i feel the money is obscene for someone who is barely worth half that, with all the fantastic young players and defenders out there, we are ending up paying 50 MILLION POUNDS for a player who cant get in ahead of chris smalling in the england side

Don't know why people get so hung up on he money, if the club/owners have got it then let them spend it. A player is only worth what a club are willing to pay to get him and a club a willing to sell him to let him go.

And what qualifies you to judge what a player is worth?

As decided by Roy Hodgson whose England team lost to Iceland in the last 16. I mean if you're going to throw random information out there at least give the full context.

You don't like Hart, you don't like Sterling and you have a right downer on Stones. Maybe if he was called McStones he'd be worth the 50m !

Sergio couldn't get a game ahead of Higuain in the Copa America.

I'm struggling to rationalise why we would spend money on a defender who isn't considered better than Chris Smalling....

According to who?

Oh right, Woy.

Who do you put more trust in...he or Pep?

Bottom line is Stones is better than he was showing last season and is easily better with the ball than Smalling, which Pep requires from his defenders.

Was in the shop earlier getting some milk. Dunno why they get so hung up about the cost.
