Fuck the price tag and comparing him to other players at other teams.
Is he better then otemendi and mangala ??
The answer is yes and if you don't agree you really don't know football.
Stones will captain city and England for many a year
Is that you Mr Stones?

:)

Why wouldn't Everton overvalue Stones and undervalue Bony? We are desperate to get rid of Bony and desperate to sign Stones. They hold the cards, not us.

What proof is there that we are desperate to get rid of Bony?

We have not been linked with any strikers and we were cutting it fine with just Kun, Bony and Nacho last season.

Secondly, Stones is desperate to leave Everton. Most of the time that would dramatically decrease a players value. Yet in regards to Stones it seems to have the opposite effect.

we are simply richer. they are . even without money, a colossal club. I I think we , well some fans, are getting a bit above our station.

We were simply richer in 2008. Since then we've won two league titles, multiple cups, been in the Champions League since 2011, and have the likes of Sergio Aguero, KDB, and other stars in our squad. One other small thing separates us and that is that Pep Guardiola is our manager. Kind of a bizarre point you are making.

Stones wants to leave. I am not sure about Bony. They would be stupid to deny Stones a move for the 2nd season running and they need to crack on with their own team strengthening. All they have brought in so far is a keeper. If their owner really has put them on a new financial footing, then arguing over 3-4% is counter-productive

if you strip the money away we are level. not hard to understand.

But the new guy is only an investor not a buy out!!! Something still fishy about this Everton deal imo

We are desperate to sell players then as we are over our CL limit currently and adding Stones will put us further over. Many believe that Bony is one of the 4-5 players we will be required to sell this summer. Everton knows this. So maybe we want to keep Bony (I don't believe that for a second) we still are in a position where Everton hold the cards.

Not sure when Stones returns to training but... Everton's pre-season is as follows:

23/07 Barnsley away
26/07 MK Dons away
29/07 Dynamo Dresden away
30/07 Real Betis or Werder Bremen away
03/08 Rags away
06/08 Espanyol home

He returns tomorrow i believe.

What do you mean "so"? How old are you?

You're valuing Bony at less than 11 mill yet keep bleating on about him being valued at less than 20 mill.

You sound like a fucking fool.

Perhaps it wasn't clear.

I meant: what's your point?

Any further offensive replies will be permanently ignored, by the way. I treat everyone respectfully and I expect the same in return.

35 million + Bony. Would you be happy at that?

Not really. He hasn't played a proper season for you. He hasn't scored enough for you.

Would the Everton board take that? No.

Would Koeman take that? Perhaps.

Doesn't matter what we think. Bony is better than Lukaku. There will be a lot of City fans who will laugh at that. he has become a laughing stock and that is part of the problem. Few have faith in him. He was under a lot of pressure when Aguero was out and didn't do well, but missed pre-season due to malaria. Quality player though.

I'm not sure if you really do mean that or not...

It's incorrect though, we are more popular-bigger worldwide presence, better facilities... more recent success(how are you quantifying the size of a club?), yes it was money that helped all of that along(with a lot of hard work to go with it) but you're not getting it... we are a much bigger club than we used to be and it's not just about the money anymore like I said you are doing our club a disservice in ignoring what has been achieved.

No disrespect to Everton that doesn't mean they are a small club(which I think is probably a better argument if anyone was trying to say that) but I don't see how you can argue they are on our level they would have quite some catching up to do to be considered that even if they did have as much money.

Anyway back on topic, still think it's a huge gamble at the prices touted, am I remembering right when I say he had a confidence crisis for a spell last season? How will a huge price tag hanging over his head affect him while settling into to a much better team with more world class players?

Bony as he was at Swansea could probably give Lukaku as he was last season a run for his money, although I think Lukaku has the potential to be far better than Bony. Not really willing to judge anyone based on their performance at international tournaments, but Lukaku probably wants to leave Everton this summer, even if he didn't do himself much good at the Euros. However, if he does leave, Bony isn't a bad replacement at all. Stones on the other hand is almost guaranteed to leave Everton this summer and looks like it will be to us. I think this one could be done before the Sané deal, if the media is to be believed (granted it usually isn't), including Bony in the deal will really hold this back. Not that it matters as long as the deal is done.
