No, he's represented by Paul Martin. Not that I think for one second Mendes would try and make life difficult for us anyway just because of his links with United. Agents only care about money, and he wouldn't want to jeopardise any future deals with us.

There seems to be a little faux drama in this. Either we agree a fee then make a bid. I can't see us making an offer for a public rejection other than to show progress on our side and Everton playing hardball (for their supporters benefit).

Watching Everton stumble around with their new money really makes you appreciate the good job our lot did.
In 3 weeks they've gone from bidding £40m on Koulibally and £30m on Witsel to spending £10m on Lamine Kone and £7m on Gueye. Even got rejected by Arnautovic.
They didn't get a DoF until last week.
The only decent thing they've done is chuck a huge cheque at Koeman - that was money well spent.

Agree with Koeman he is a quality manager,i think you need to get used to having money,it can easily go wrong,we did a great job in hindsight

What is seen on the pitch Koeman obviously looks a good manager.....saints mates were saying during last season he argued with (couple of) players and board and allegedly never watched the youth teams.
Hopefully he'll fall out with Stones and flog him sharpish to us.
