For 20m he is a fantastic buy for Chelsea because then they would move on Zouma or Christensen for 20m , they got 20m for Ake 5 years ago from a poor Bournemouth !!!

Chelsea do need a defensive overhaul after how many they conceded this season (something like 70+ goals in all comps). Better move for Stones too than Moyes and WHU. Salary also less likely an issue there.

I'd take the £25m if we can insist on another £25m in add-ons. He's potentially worth a hell of a lot more to someone than anyone would be willing to pay right now.

Maybe a similar loan to Smalling's could help rebuild his reputation in another country? I don't know, maybe we need the funds. Plus I doubt he'd move abroad. And I suppose he could go the same way as Joe Hart. Probably a non starter, that one.
