If nothing else this sustained bid is pissing the Chelsea fans no end and maybe unsettling their squad if they think Terry is even considering a move, next - Rooney ;0)

Im not going to read through all the pages, but am I the only person who wouldn't actually want Terry at city?

I don't really like the guy and have always felt him to be hugely overrated by the media. His lack of pace is glaring.

But he is a class defender. Certainly better than what we have at present. Positionally he is immense and is a leader. I can see him being very effective in a short term, 2-3 year role as a bridge for us to establish ourselves with the best. Plus Micah and Ned will learn a lot from him.

IF we got Terry the City-Chelsea match would be like a derby after we nicked Robinho off them and Terry. I just cannot see it happening even if we offer him £300,000 a week but the fact that we are bidding for players of his level is brilliant.

Hughes used to play with Terry at Chelsea when he was just coming through, so there must be some sort of link between the 2 which could go in our favour.

I watched the RSC press conference on the new site, and Hughes said we are not interested in making bids for players just to make statements. This therefore suggests we genuinely believe we can get him, as it's not merely a statement. It's just a bid for a player that we believe is attainable. Only time will tell if the club is right!

dont get me wrong, i think he is a class defender, but it just seems a bit too surreal being linked with this one, im all for the signing of Eto'o, Tevez and Lescot but I think this might just be going over the top a bit. like people say, he is mr. chelsea. It wont seem like a Manchester City defence. ok, dunne needs replacing because he isn't good enough, but to see nedum and micah pushed out as well just seems like to much of a big change for me.

bridge, terry, lescot and toure in defense just doesnt feel right.
