Football and the decisions of players, managers and directors is not what it used to be. There are so many economical decisions to be brought into the equation. £40million for a player of his age is something that they are likely to consider greatly.

Firstly I very much doubt we will get Terry but dont think its impossible, Now to me when a manager says a player is not for sale at any price that is a club statement that they have no intention of getting rid of or replacing the player which sends a public message to the player that they want him, however, if the player put in a transfer request then Chelsea have covered there backs and all of a sudden they are not the ones looking for the exit door. So the only thing decisive in that statement is that Chelsea do not want to lose John Terry, not that the move could still not happen if the player wants it !

I have heard managers say that god knows how many times. The simple fact is this we made a private bid for a player.
Chelsea made it public not us and now the person who can stop this dead in its tracks in 1 min flat has not made a statement all it takes is for JT to say im staying at Chelsea and this all goes away, surely CHelsea know that so why havent they said to him juwst make the statement and clear up the mess we have made.
