I don't know why but I really think we are going to sign him!
The rumour has been going around for ages and JT has not come out and ruled the move out has he?!
It's all over todays papers and he is saying nothing.
I think JT will be playing for us next season :-)

I aint gonna read too much into Terry not turning out for this testimonial. At 1st I thought it was an official Chelsea pre-season game, but it sounds more like Terry was doing a mate a favour by allowing his name to be added to a Select XI team sheet to put bums on seats! By all accounts, half the players who were supposed to be playing didn't turn out either and none of them had anywhere near the profile of the current England captain.

Can you seriously imagine Chelsea allowing Terry to play in this match and risk injury whether or not he was about to be sold? Absolutely no way. I also agree though that there's no smoke without fire. Personally I can't stand any of that Chelsea lot which has more to do with my deep dislike of Mourinho, but I wouldn't mind half their team especially Essien over at our place.

This will be played in 2 ways:

1, Terry is using our interest to increase his wages and improve his current Chelsea contract.

2, As reported, he has become disillusioned at Chelsea and fancies a new challenge with the important emphasis being on him getting DOUBLE his current wage and a fat signing on fee!

We can all enjoy speculating and dreaming of what may or may not be, but we'll only know the full script if & when his work clothes are a lighter shade of blue. Just enjoy the ride in the meantime!!!

CTID

Don't forget, Mr Chelsea is also Mr Umbro, well be better for him commercially too, leading to even more money.

(Also, how about a merge of Terry threads lol)

Signing Terry would be a major statement of intent, but I think we're missing a trick here. Essien was the player that made the real difference for Chelsea when he came back from injury last season and he's the true midfield powerhose that I think we should be going for especially since his agent said last week that he'd consider a move from the club if the right offer came in.

I think he'll join us next week, the greedy, evil, football imploder. He is a bastard-face. He clearly wants to help us to trash football.

Pam don't sit on the fence say what you mean! lol. For what it's worth my 2 pennies worth is that whatever the outcome of this, JT will end up in a better position financial. Either he gets a new contract with Chelski or he signs for us. Either way he's quids in!

Snap?
Pam you've lost me. That was ages ago.

I am suggesting that Chelsea's denials may not actually be any more genuine than City's were in the summer they bought swp. I probably didn't make that clear enough.

You are a right smooth talker Pam.Lol ;)

Re: Does anyone else think that we are going to sign JT?

If he comes it will be for the 300 grand a week and nothing else - it really is fucking obscene.

And this from the people who want to build the team over a period of time - bullshit - they speak with forked tongue.
