I'm sure 1 or 2 posters on here work for the papers or at least have links to them, perhaps they can shed some light as to why articles like this get pulled?
Only two reasons I can think of...

Either a) new information comes to light which leads them to doubt the original story (ie. a source tells them it's inaccurate) or b) technical problems on the website.

Cheers neil, i hope its (a)

synopsis: John Terry has agreed in principle to stay at Chelsea and reject the chance to join Manchester City.

edit: no idea whether he is a Chelsea fan, but it seems he writes a lot about them.

I remember one of them doing the former when Tevez signed. First they had an article saying he'd be flying in for his medical. Then it disappeared. Then the story reappeared a few hours later with a load more details.

Hard to assess the exact economics of it without seeing the plans, but these sovereign funds from the Middle East basically aim to make money once the oil runs out. Here, if they attract three million people a year to SportCity for reasons other than to watch sport, it doesn't take a huge profit per person over the long term to make for a lucrative project.

This is true but ADIA (the investment fund I think you mean) has nothing to do with ADUG.

I have noticed the telegraph have been rather pro chelsea regarding JT staying through this whole saga, has anyone else noticed this?

They just won't want the article to go up yet, although it may even go back up in the next few hours. I doubt something like that would be written without the writer in question being informed of what is going down.
