defo not worth another thread talkin anymore about this wanker

Defo not worth you posting to say that is there really...

The Terry thread has gotten to big and turned to shite so excuse me if I started another one. No doubt a zealous mod will fold it into the main one.

Once again we fail to land a big target?

Would he have come for Jose?

With the signings we've already made, and more likely to come through the door. I don't see any grounds for bringing up our manager here.

Terry never did have any intention of joining us, he just want that extra £15k a week to boost him up to a paulty £135k a week at Chelsea. Power hungry Alpha male or whatever he is a Chelsea.

Well I said all a long I would not be bothered if it fell through.

Always the likley outcome, most of us never thought it was going to happen. I still think he comes out of this tarnished for pissing around a side he is meant to love and shaking them down for extra money when he still has 3 years of his current deal to run. He just looks like a mercenary I am not alone I am sure in thinking this.

At the end of the day he is 29 and his back is fucked. We might not get the prestiege, image and leadership qualities but we can get a quality central defender that is younger and will give the same sort of quality on the pitch for half the money. Plus they might actually want to play for us.

Glad its over and done with its overshadowed our pre season as well. We should go all out for Bruo alves and Lescott, Upson or Toure at a pinch for cover Keep Nedum and we also have Kompany for cover when fit plus Dunne if he wants to stay. Not the end of the world.

We will still end up much stronger defensively than last season and if we end up getting 2 or 3 from the likes of Lescott, Upson, Toure and Alves + keep all the quality we already have we will have a squad as strong as Arsenal or Liverpool overall IMO.

All planned by Terry.
I think you'll find you're crediting a football player with more of a Machiavellian nature than is due.

Most can barely string a sentence together, much less put together a plot such as the fantasy you've outlined above.

Im not going to lie and say i never wanted Terry here in the first place, because i did. And not for his ability as such but more for the statement it would make for our club.

see this sort of thing i dont get. the footballing world has now heard of us, but all they know is that we are a club spending big money on players. The Tevez and Robinho signings were statements. No matter who we sign from now on, we will not be taken seriously until we get into the champions league. Players like terry, FOR his ability would speed that process up. As long as we get the players good enough to help us do this i couldnt care less what statement it sends out.

i think the club were maybe aware this was gonna be the outcome a few days ago, hence the stories today suggesting toure is close to coming! terrys statement will for sure speed up the rest of our signings now

Can anyone really blame Terry for holding out for more money at Chelsea if thats whats happened? Most of us if not all would have done exactly the same thing i'm sure especially when he could have moved on and earned a lot more elsewhere

interesting term of phrase from terry....."leaving chelsea never a possibility" rather than an option........suggests he just couldn,t put in that request to me.....ah well.....lescott and toure would do me nicely......

I have to say i am elated he has decided to stay as i think if you had managed to sign terry you would be favourites for the title. However i am dissapointed in the number of man city fans who seem to be pleased you havent won his signature. Terry brings fantastic leadership to a club, he is a great role model for the youth team and always has time to offer support. One thing you guys wont see on the tv but at games is how he leads the team when going a goal down or when someone makes a mistake, he is great at lifting the players as well as being a cracking centre half. Onouha i rate highly and i think terry would have made him a much better player as well as richards. Terry has had his injuries but ask any chelsea fan what we were like without him for ten games, and when we had him for 30. I actually think you were very close to signing john and i wouldnt have slagged him off had he gone. City are the new sensation, im sure many players would love to be part of what your building. Just dont come after lampard next although i bet a lot of you would say hes crap etc, when he is the mr chelsea, unbeleivable player. Good luck next season guys, i look forward to welcoming you to a fa cup final!
