Terry took the safest option. The last years of his career will be spent out to pasture at Chelsea. Perhaps they should give him a big red coat and a tricorne hat.

It takes some guts and vision to come to us. You are going to get hammered in the press, and the rewards are going to have to be actually earned.

He is like one of those children who stays living with their parents their entire lives because its easy.

City offered him a marvellous opportunity to professionally extend himself and join an attempt to transform the Premiership hierarchy, instead he chose free drinks in West London pubs for the rest of his life.

In hindsight, the Terry saga is like Kaka. He was never going to come. Its surprising it went on as long as it did.

I'll say this (and I know you won't be surprised): there have been posts since Terry said "non" that have shown perspective, and an unbowed will. There have been a greater number of posts that have shown a petulant, bitter, ignorant, whining, ungrateful attitude that only a MASSIVELY selfish 12 year-old that thinks he will live for ever (and would cheerfully murder every girl that refused advances...what fragile other-formed senses of self) could possibly hold.
