Ben and Hayley are a happily married couple who live in a new cosy house in Wilmslow.
They have a beautiful daughter, Emily, who’s 10.
One night, Emily wakes up. She feels thirsty and wants a glass of water. She leaves her room, goes downstairs and walks toward the kitchen. The kitchen door is ajar and she can see her Mum lying on the table, legs up in the air and her Dad doing weird movements with his hips.
That looks a bit strange, she thinks to herself, but she doesn’t want to disturb them so she goes back up to bed.
It’s the next morning and the family are at the table having breakfast.
Emily asks “Mum, what were you and Dad doing in here last night?”
Hayley blushes, glances anxiously at Ben before replying “Erm, it was just your Dad and I… erm, making a cake, darling.”
“Oh, is there any left for me?” Emily asks again.
“NO!” Ben interjects. “Time’s getting on, Emily. Get ready for school.”
The following night, Emily wakes up again. She walks downstairs toward the kitchen but then sees that the door to the living room isn’t closed. She has a peek through and can see her Mum lying on the sofa, her legs in the air like the night before and her Dad doing those weird hip movements again. She turns round and goes back to bed.
Next morning, at breakfast, Emily asks “Mum, were you and Dad making a cake on the sofa last night?”
Hayley almost chokes on her coffee. “Erm, yes, darling, we were, erm, making a cake. How did you know?”
“I just licked the icing off the cushions.”
