Joleon Lescott, Why?

You can't judge the center halves on last season.

They were constantly pulled out of position to cover for very mediocre full backs and playing in front of a keeper like Given who refuses to leave his line and does not command his box is a nightmare.

If Hart gets off to a good start and Boateng and Kolarov are as good as they are supposed to be you'll be amazed by how "improved" Lescott et al will be in the middle.

He'll be a much better player for us when he's got a decent full back next to him, i'm glad he's at our club.

Think I'm the only one on here who doesnt rate vinny as a CH. My prefered two would be Kolo and Joleon.

hart should have done better with both those goals. given would have saved them.

the 2nd goal was the fault of the defence, what could joe have done except taking the player down and conceding a penalty?

Last season Mark Hughes made us look a laughing stock by pursuing this player and raising the wrath of the Everton Manager and fans. So what has he done for City since? Nowt. He got injured and now, in pre-season, is still playing like a Championship player and we lost one of our better players, imho, Richard Dunne, for a bit of a crock. Why?

Richard Dunne clearly you are a new glory hunter. Is this the same richard dunne that cost Villa the carling cup last year. Your probably also one of those that remembers Irlands great season but forget the 2 crap ones before it.

Yes but 2 seasons ago was when we started to buy the players and the stadium started to fill up more. It used to be very lonely in Colin bell 3

quick to forget the form he had when he wasnt injured last season? when he was with kompany in defence he was brilliant. don't worry, he'll come good!

I am sorry, which match was that then? I never remember him being brilliant, passable maybe but never brilliant. :-)
Most of his games for City he spent behind a midfield 2. Most Premiership teams play with two banks of 4 and it's very difficult to get one on one with a defender

Last season, certainly under Hughes Lescott was continually defending 1 on 1 and he was very good at it. If he lost out in 1 tackle, it would be described as a Lescott howler
