It took time for Mancini's squad and good work to be dismantled and it will probably take the same amount of time to get us back to where we were before we progress. FFP has stopped us from going into this transfer window balls deep to correct our squad's failings, but here's a question for you......... Do you think if our squad didn't need major restructuring and not for FFP, do you think we'd have been in for Evans now, & Bony, Delph and the rest before them?

Not sure of your point with the bolded bit tbh, I maybe being a bit thick but if you meant we bought the later two because we needed to buy somebody then that was pretty much a waste of time as we hardly had a constructive game out of the pair of them.

The near 40m could have been better spent elsewhere, Bony was never going to suit our club, Delph may have had possibilities but his inability to stay fit, just like Rodwell meant he has been a flop in the end.

Until the next stupid fuck signing we make. I agree it's probably done and nothing we can do to stop it but at least we've expressed our view and that's all we can do

Most people on this thread are hung up on the fact that he used to play for the shit.

If he was a former Chelsea player, say.

* who had several league winners medals
* a champions league medal and had been sold due to change in management coinciding with consistent niggling injury
* Has now proved his fitness and performed well in a league he knows inside out.
* Is not going to keep legendary captain out of the team but will provide adequate cover and rotation with young up and comer..

Say it was Gary Cahill (Yes, I know Cahill is older) matching the above description...would there be an issue? No.
If he was a former Bayern, Barca, Real academy product then it would be kids at christmas on here. His nationally is unfashionable as is the club of origin.

Nowhere in my post do I mention the scum, it was about how bad our management team is at buying cb's but if you believe he is worth the price be it 25m or 30m then good luck to you, he is an average joe and yes to some folk the fact he is a top rag fan with a wife that works for rag tv is a huge negative, throw in the fact he is 29 going on 30, all in all it is too many negatives for me (not for everybody but for ME because I am allowed to think wtf I want)

Say what you want but people are entitled to their opinion without being told to wipe their fannies, a most irritating attempt at a put down and quite possible even out doing the Pep knows best line, both used far too often on here atm.
