The whole reason we were initially linked with him was because he is a left sided CB who is homegrown.

Says who? All the reports say we're linked with him because he's experienced, decent on the ball, left sided and doesn't mind the fact he'll be 3rd or 4th choice. No one's even mentioned being homegrown - because it's irrelevant.
