Aah, the things we do in our youth hey! lol :-) Having been around the block a bit, I'd rather someone spat in my face than headbutted me in it, but that's just me.

Anyway, on the football front, are you saying Stones & Otamendi aren't up to scratch either?

If you don't think Evans is good enough to play for us, it's your right to have an opinion, but does this mean Pep & Txiki don't know what they're doing?
 
I don't mind the idea of Jonny Evans as 4th choice. Definitely not what I would like, but he's solid enough. I don't usually give 2 shiny shits about cost, but paying £30m for Jonny Evans as a 4th choice is just a bit mental

Run away as fast as you can Txiki. £30m for Johnny fucking Evans would be the worst piece of business of all time. An average, ageing fourth choice CB who is homegrown makes sense if they are cheap, but spending real money on one would be just fucking stupid. The only positive would be making the Kyle Walker deal look cheap, as I imagine most people would say he's worth at least £20m more than Johnny Evans

In our youth? He was 27 when he did it!

When we were linked with a CB everyone wanted someone to improve the starting 11. Nobody said 'hey let's get Evans he's decent'. Stones will come good but I believe Otamendi is too reckless to be top quality.

Do I think Txiki has a blind spot when it comes to buying centre backs? Course I do, have you missed the fact we buy one every season?

30m for him then next summer Txiki will be surprised when we offer him on sale and nobody takes him due to high wages and we loan him and pay his salary while playing for Stoke or back to WBA lol.
