Anything above 20mill. would be insane, even in this fcked up market that is football and Premier League.
Hell, it's Evans. Anything above 10mill. is insane!
Over 30mill.? Anyone has any idea what Milan paid for Bonucci a few weeks back? Bonucci - Evans. Get it!?!

You cannot compare the foreign market to English clubs. We're all awash with TV money and every fucker knows it.

He is better than Stones was without Kompany last season. Stones has got the ability to be a top player, but last season he fell to pieces without Kompany.
I am beginning to wonder if Pep is having a few trust issues with Stones. I also rate him highly but some of his one on one defending has looked a bit ropey, including in the Girona game. The experience angle with Evans could be relevant.

The budget argument will only have legs if we see another big name with a big fee come in before the window closes.
Well apparently, that is why we're keeping our powder dry. Hopefully you can see why this explains buying someone for a relatively cheap fee who is better than Tosin & Mangala, makes sense.

In an ideal world, we wouldn't have got a more high profile signing, but if Evans makes us stronger than we otherwise would have been, why would anyone have an issue with that?

I am not usually this vocal on BM (I usually get a ban ) but I can not see how as a club this is good

And the fukin price
If someone had said 10 - 15 mill I would have said worth a punt even if he is a twat.
Like I said I really do hope I have to apologise and am totally wrong
I don't care who he supports. He's a solid centre-back, and I'd have said that a fortnight ago.

Can't argue about the price. Don't understand why we took so long to make a move. Some plan behind the scenes must have changed.

Anyone watched Jonny for Northern Ireland? He's bloody good in a very tight defensive unit. Real leader on the pitch too. So many positives to this move, lads.

The problem with the budget is why pay £30 mil for Evans then? It stinks of panic buy, it's similar to us pissing money up the wall for the likes of Bony.

This time last week I was delighted by our business, we finally seemed to have our head screwed on yet here we are again buying players clearly not good enough.

You and I know this is a ridiculous transfer. If when the alternative CB thread was created I had posted saying 'we need to be looking at getting someone better than Smalling' I'd have been laughed at but here you are trying to justify us buying Evans with that same statement.
OK, I'll put it another way.... Do you agree that by the sounds of things Txiki & Pep believe that Evans is a better bet for cover this season than Tosin or Mangala?

He was relatively cheap at the £18m mooted, it's becoming apparent we are going to be going way over that.

Alternative then please. I'm sure CIty would have rather paid £18m, but this is the same old story with all our transfers
So if we don't have any alternatives in mind, we would rather go out and buy shit? Did you forget about Sinclair, Rodwell Delph et al.? So we are happy to go down the same route again considering tha fact that they are ridiculously difficult get rid off?

Not at the required price there isn't, at £10m I might have agreed, but above £20m there are no positives other than we seem desperate, hence the price being asked.

Yeah they hate the scum more they love city

Maybe it's the fact that lots of us don't rate Evans and add to that the fact he's a fucking rag twat into the equation then that's probably why people are getting pissed off.

City are always first for us blues but hating the rags for us older blues is part of our dna.

Evans got fucked off by the rags as not good enough and since then he's played for Sunderland and WBA and yet he's suddenly morphed into a Baresi type player who will improve us.

Evans is bang average and a rag too boot so I have to say.... IT'S A NO FROM ME

Yes I believe that Txiki and Pep believe that.

I also believe that when it comes to Txiki and Pep their ability to buy a good centre back is shite at best

Why are you still pedalling this Northern Ireland stuff?

Andy Morrison now would look decent against Azerbaijan
