In a sense all of this is nothing more than a pyrrhic victory for the dippers. Gifted the Prem by VAR and the enforced break, and now accolade upon accolade being heaped on a 3rd rate midfield player who plays more sideways balls than anyone else in the league. But if the dippers thought they were disliked by the rest of us before all this VAR and pigmol was introduced into the game, they ain't seen nothing yet.
Football fans the world over have seen from their own eyes just how corrupt the English football leagues have become. They have seen how the Dipper/Rags have been assisted at each and every turn in order to achieve the result that will help them both. The whole world has just witnessed the end of one of the most crooked seasons in the sport, the single most disgusting abuse of the rules by Premier league officials. They have seen how their own favourite teams have been shafted in order to help the dippers get to the top and also help the rags get CL football next season...can't have them experiencing continued financial problems, can they?

As I say, a Pyrrhic victory. The dippers may have won the asterix trophy, but they've caused many many more football fans to go from indifference to full-on hate for them in just this one season alone.

How do I explain to my grandchildren that City having being the best club side this decade , playing some of the best football ever seen , breaking countless records, scoring 100+ goals in the league 3 times ( I confidently included tomorrow) and winning the league 4 times that only one of the 20 main individual awards would go to a City player

Well with Henderson leading England to victory in various competitions too then I can see why he has won this award. I'm sure the press will be crying out for his name to be first on the England teamsheet for the next 2-3 years.......

The saddest part of this episode is Henderson will have been made to believe he’s the best, when clearly he’s not even in the top 25 best players in the PL ... As a fan I’m very disappointed for KDB but in the scheme of things, there really could not be a less important or valued award in the whole of world football ....! I’d love to have the conversation with all the arse licking clowns who voted for this Footballing no mark and listen to them struggle to justify their Sycophantic vote....

It now annoys me that Henry Winter was invited to take part in the 93:20 series of documentaries, which I've watched many times. I had some respect for him up to now.
With regards to LFC, I'm not sure that there's ever been such a sharp disjunction between the journalists and their fawning attitude to that club, and the ordinary match-going supporters for the entire rest of the league. I've not yet met a genuine supporter of any other club who actually likes LFC. I'm not talking about us, United, and Everton only.

But more than this, to David Silva, THE best midfielder ever to play in this country. To award ‘Player of the Year’ to a jobbing plodder in the same week that the greatest ever (who has NEVER been recognised by the media for just how good he is on and off the pitch) pulls on a City shirt in a league game for the last time is beyond insult. That he’s never been given this award in the decade he’s been here is the biggest travesty of all those we’ve had to put up with from the media as it helps the G14 with their snide, jealous activities to undermine us.

Nah, no chance. The media in this country nailed their colours to the mast when the Premier League itself started, many years ago. Since then they have bent over further than a fucking limbo dancer in order to appease the Dipper/Rags (remember when the Pisscan refused to speak to the BBC, and yet they fawned all over him when he brought that book out?).
Us and the rest of the clubs in the Premiership are an irrelevance, the focus has ALWAYS been on the Hollywood 2.

It really has gone silly with regards LFC, I was banned from another forum for basically saying as you have said. The LFC fans on that forum all made complaints against me and to keep them happy this one any only City was thrown off !

There seems to be an unwritten rule on forums, ( not so much on here )the press/media, anywhere. If you tell the truth about LFC be it the fans or the club its self. You get banned I dont understand why you cant tell the truth. Lfc seem to have a hold on different forums and the press/media across the country. It's not healthy.
I saw a little lad about 7 with his mum and dad he is LFC shirt in ramsgate, I so wanted to ask the parents if they knew the history of the fans your lads shirt represents, and why would you want your son to be associated with that.

Kev should win it solely in football terms but if we are widening it out to contribution to wider society then Raz (who’s also had a 30 goal or so season) must have been in with a shout because of his contributions on racism

The award is for what you do on a football pitch not on f***g twater or trying to save the world.
