This award just shows what we already know , most within the press/media wouldnt recognise a great player, they dont understand football and most hate City.
If you watch the speed at which City ping the ball to each other and than kill the pass dead, most English players like Henderson and Rooney the ball would bounce of them.
ALL of Citys players are and I include Foden in this are better tactically than Henderson.
Henderson is a very limited player, who wouldnt get near City, RM, Barcelona City Reserves, etc let alone many National sides.
Ok he did some good in this pandemic, outside of his job of being a footballer but so did many other people around the country, old folk to joung kids raised money, or made masks or ran foodbanks, shopped for elderly neighbours, delivered prescriptions. To use this as a reason to reward a multi millionaire footballer for making a few phone calls is pathetic and shows just what is wrong with this country and football. Real people throughout our community's have stepped up to help, 99.99% wont get a kiss my arse, but did it because its was needed. To say......Henry Winter on Jordan Henderson: 'Winner, inspiration and beacon of hope' is a bloody disgrace to all the hard working members of our community's that step up.
And how did it inspire the liverpool fans ? By going out against the government guidelines, firing fireworks at the liver building and into the crowd, or fighting amongst themselves or stabbing each other or attacking the police trying help the victim. Leaving the area around Anfield full of litter. Or the fans on Wednesday night ignoring pleas from LFC, the police everyone to stay at home ignored by 1000's . So to say Henderson is an "inspiration and beacon of hope" when his own fans ignored him is pathetic.
So from now on has the criteria changed for this award ?
1, what charity work has been done ?
2*, what club does he play for ?
3, must play for the league winners ?
4, must be the captain ?
5, must have limited football skills ?
6, this award now has nothing to do with being a good footballer ?
2*, is already in use ;)
