Jorginho

out of our two transfer targets this summer its jourginho that I'm concnered about....a pivotal position that we need to get right.....he has some fantastic and obvious attributes with his passing but I'm concerned about him playing vs the more physical, faster teams who press and will target him. Just have to wait and see i suppose and hope Pep and everyone else has got this one right.
So Liverpool then... As I don't know any other team who does this or even attempts.

yes obviously them but other teams may follow suit as its the only way that anyone has had any real success against us.....thining that liverpool are the only team that will push us next season is arrogance.....utd, chelski, spurs, arsenal will all improve so we have to as well. The signing of Mahrez Im really comfortable with....but the signing of a central midfielder is the absolutely critical one and one we must get right. I don't rate Ilky enough to be comfortable to only have Ferna in there as we got a way with him not having any injuries last year that meant he was pretty much always available.
I can certainly see some aspects of what Jorginho brings with his passing (and the range of that) but its his other attributes that we need as well to be correct....going to watch the Italy vs Frane game at 8pm..hopefully he will be playing as I saw him vs Saudi but that was more of a practise match...hopefuly playing against a decent team will enable him to show what he has got.

As yours was an apt response. Thought it right that The People hear my reply. While you bathe under that unmentionable Sun, we still think you’re a Star. In these Times it’s somewhat hard to Express our feelings. So think I’ll Mail them to you, or if you like could send a Telegraph?
Your Gaurdian.

Not sure a Telegraph would be prudent in these Financial Times

Seriously think that even if we didn’t ‘improve’ our squad, other teams have to buy, and buy right just to try and close the gap. We could probably do it even if we stayed out of the transfer market. IMO of course!

I’d say there’s been an isolated few on here, who obviously have watched him, that keep banging the same drum to those who clearly haven’t watched him more than twice...

His speed of thought, under pressure, is exceptional.....

What's bemusing is that you could work that out very easily from the 2 games we played against him last autumn!

Liverpool is a different kettle of fish when it comes to pressing. They are the only ones that I'm concerned about. Most other teams don't press like they do and I think we can pick them apart. Kind of like how we played against Spurs. Jorginho will be able to break the press better then Dinho I believe. As it's been said he has great 1 touch passing and can play the vertical pass. I'm actually more concerned teams will do what Huddersfield and others have tried and park the bus and counter attack. Hopefully Mahrez can help break them down.
Against Liverpool though, who knows we could use a midfield of Dinho, Jorginho and Silva with Kev on the wing. Dinho could help defensively and Jorginho's ball control may help break their press. Pep stuck Gundogan on the right because he wanted more players with midfield control. However, Gundogan doesn't have the creativity. Kev for all his good qualities does tend to lose the ball. We'll see what Pep has up his sleeve against the dippers.

Well some could. Others need a friendly against France to convince them.

I’m sure if he’s anything less than sensational tonight there will be a thread demanding we back out of any deal and switch our attention elsewhere!

see thats the thing, i just don't remember him from those two games...i know others have said he was impressive and i know Pep said something about Napoli in general being one of the most impressive teams in europe but i don't remember him standing out from those two games...doesnt mean he wasn't good/didt stand out, just that i don't remember him.....

Ive tried to watch as much online stuff as i can about him and his passing certainly stands out (the range of it especially from the the of intricit balls that silva plays to the longer range of passing that Yaya and Kdb offer as well.
Like i said its just his defensive work I havent seen too much of and thats the key bit for me. Looking forward to watching him
