Great trip to Naples.

Regardless of the bad press, I really liked Naples. Would go again.

The taxi ride to the Hotel from the Airport was like a scene from Blade Runner. No road rules, everyone cutting each other up, beeping each other, swearing at each other, driving side by side, CM's apart, pure madness. Taxi driver on his mobile, his sat nav, and talking to the control room. Absolutely potty. Best Taxi ride I've ever had. Gave the Taxi driver a 5 Euro tip when we got to the Hotel. The Mrs in the back of the Taxi looked like a ghost when She got out. Lol!

Agree- thoroughly enjoyed my trip & visit to Naples too. Think too many people are expecting it to be a white stone washed tourist friendly Italian village rather than a lived-in melting pot of a city. Plus, the ever-present Mount Vesuvius in the background of the city is mesmerising.

I can see why players stay on in Naples for long as possible until the big money offers come in since it's a city that has a fanatic support element & if you're good you become some kind of demi-god. A bit different from a selfie outside Boots at the Arndale!

So the've finally turned the old girl into a motorway, I climbed it many many years ago most if not all the way and when finished was covered from head to toe in volcanic dust resembling a coal miner after a 12 hour shift!!
