Angelino may or may not make it. I'd say he has a better than 50% chance. But if you have the chance to sign a talent this big for so little, you take it without second thought. Especially when both left-backs are 30+ (or Clichy will be shortly), meaning that by the time Angelino is 20, Clichy will be 32 and Gaya will be 21 or 22 so Angelino could replace Clichy. Angelino has yet to kick a ball in anger at senior level though and should go on loan. The club plans to sign a left-back this summer no matter what based on all the reports and the likelihood of Kolarov leaving and Gaya is about the best young one I've seen and already playing at a high level for a really good team. He'll probably go to Real Madrid though...

Real Madrid have already signed a left back for the summer - Danilo from Porto so I doubt they'll get Gaya too. City Bound I reckon

He's a right back though.

Doh, im having a nightmare. I knew they'd signed a full back but thought it was left back for some reason. I even remember watching SSN and thinking that they will not sign Gaya lol

Doing well in the Valencia - Villareal game.

Trying his best to create chances and tracking back to defend.

Wouldn't mind seeing this guy here at all. He's young at 19 and would give us a long term player at Left Back and a backup for Clichy in the immediate. For the price quoted he's excellent.

Angelino needs more game time playing at a higher level while Gaya has already played in Valencia's first team and could replace Kolarov this summer.

No reason to say that Angelino can't come back after a loan to enter the first team. As it stands I don't see him gaining enough game time with the first team.

I would think that we should be looking at other areas at the moment.

We have Maffeo and Angelino coming through, as well as Ashley Smith Brown who is slightly older and can play either side.

I would be concentrating on improving the midfield and attacking options before I sign a defender.

Not arguing with that last part. Didn't say he'd be the first purchase on our list for this window. We should improve midfield and wingers first and then see if we have enough money to reinforce positions like strikers (getting a young striker if Dzeko and Jovetic leave) and defense.
