Jose Mourinho.

Fair play Rammy. But we all know what the reality is that we're a higher mid-table club at the moment with a lot of money and attracting players of his calibre to a team in that position will be very hard, especially without European Football.

Up until a few weeks ago Villa were looking favourites for Champions League until they blew up.

City with a few astute and big money buys plus Jose would piss the top 4 next season.

I'd take the Special One over MH. But I doubt it will happen.
More likely to go to the rags.

spurs thought that at the start of the season football is a strange game and will bite you on the arse when you least expect it too

Genuine question do you think Hughes can ever win us the title?

No but then again I can't see any manager doing that for us next season... we are no way near that yet. Personally I think a top 5 finish next season and a trophy (carling cup, FA cup or Europa cup [assuming we're in it next season) would be a phenomenal achievement.

I honestly think Hughes should be given another season to build the club and then judge him from there. We need to consolidate and build strength and depth more than we need to sign Kaka or Messi right now and I think Hughes is the man to do that for us. If we'd had a squad with more strength in depth I think we'd probably have done much better away to Hamburg and would probably have another 6-9 points at least in the league.

I hope you are right Balti, the most arrogant tw@t in football at the most arrogant club in football seems an ideal match and when the banks demand their money back i will enjoy listening to the squeals of the moans.

It wasn't about next season it was do you think he can ever win it for us?

No, but it's also unlikely if we fired him now that we'd find another manager capable of doing that. So, if there's a chance that he'll take us to a position where we could then be more attractive to that calibre of manager (i.e. where we look capable of a serious top four challenge at a minimum), then maybe it's worth persevering with him.
