Kimmich would be a mega signing!
Replacing Yaya would be the obvious position for him, but he could also cover RB and central defence or even move into an attacking midfield position.
There's a reason Pep loved the kid so much, he can do anything.
I think players, like Fern, who can play in more than one position have a huge advantage in Pep's method of playingGonna be interesting because we also have dinho who can do a job there. Personally I'd rather play him as a holding midfielder and buy a quality right back like semedo.
Kroos had a year left on his contract didn't he?But he knows there's already Vidal and Thiago in Bayern's midfield who will start in most of the matches and Bayern also bought Rudy who is a direct threat to Kimmich and there's also Renato Sanches who himself can't get any minutes to play himself. Then there's talk about other midfielders that Bayern are after. I saw his statement, it says ""I'm not going anywhere yet and I can't say anything more"", hardly denying the rumours that he wants to leave.
Like you said your board may try to convince and succeed in convincing Kimmich by assuring more minutes to him but if push comes to shove, we know Bayern won't force their players to stay once they want to leave (just like they allowed Kroos to leave).
