Does Kimmich really want to leave Germany and come here, not so sure myself. The 2 does suggest 2 cheaper ones. I don’t know what to make of Kimmich coming. He’s very Kovacic, albeit with RB cover.
He’d be another top body to have in the squad though.
Luiz vs Bruno is pretty close for me, so saving £60m would probsbly be the deciding factor for me.
He would 100% have to take a pay cut on his current termsDoes Kimmich really want to leave Germany and come here, not so sure myself.
If Bayern put the contract he wants on the table he would be signing it very quickly.
only issue for me is that we would loose his pace, which none of the current squad can compete.
in attack yes, in defense and recovery no, he would be more of a liability in defence, if we pay v Real,Liverpool ie. Ofc i doubt he will play this type of games and akanji would step in.Hence Frimpong for £34m should be the answer mate?
Don’t see the point if that’s the case, what happens when players lose form or get injuredin attack yes, in defense and recovery no, he would be more of a liability in defence, if we pay v Real,Liverpool ie. Ofc i doubt he will play this type of games and akanji would step in.
he would be very handy vs teams who play compact and put 10 defendersDon’t see the point if that’s the case, what happens when players lose form or get injured
Yes but no better for that than Savio. Frimpong doesn't make any sense to me at any level.Certainly if we got Kimmich and kept Walker, Frimpong would be pointless.he would be very handy vs teams who play compact and put 10 defenders
Agree but not about keeping Walker. I could see Walker going and Stones and Kimmich and Branthwaite coming in. I think Akanji would cover the need for Walkers pace. I could also Phillips as a makeweight for BranthwaiteYes but no better for that than Savio. Frimpong would be great as a attacking wing-back, which means Pep can get extra man in the attack.Yes but no better for that than Savio. Frimpong doesn't make any sense to me at any level.Certainly if we got Kimmich and kept Walker, Frimpong would be pointless.
wheres this?Frimpong would be great as a attacking wing-back, which means Pep can get extra man in the attack.
Generally knowing how Pep loves to invert fullbacks and does not want get attacking wingbacks then Kimmich would make most sense.
Everything depends on how Pep will want to set-up, if the rumored 3-5-2 formation is real, then Frimpong would make sense.

Interesting. Dont see it at all myself.Martin from The Mancunian Way podcast said in ItsLB youtube channel/podcast thingy
Pep probably will take a inspiration from Boston Celtics and will add some kind of high pick n roll tactic /sInteresting. Dont see it at all myself.
3-5-2 isn’t that far away from 3-2-2-3 that we play at times at the moment.Interesting. Dont see it at all myself.
suppose i just assumed they were talking wing backs tbh. still doubtful for me.3-5-2 isn’t that far away from 3-2-2-3 that we play at times at the moment.
It’d just mean slightly different positioning of the wider players.

And rightly so with his recent form, he is not in a very strong bargaining position. He would 100% have to take a pay cut on his current terms
We tweak it every game. The difference recently is that Pep has used 4 proper defenders. Frimpong would be a move away from that.agreed and the system needs a change anyway it would seem now? Getting harder and harder for the lads to find space etc as the opposition tend to sit deeper, double up in the middle of the park as they know we are going to have the CB or FB stepping into midfield so a system change again will be in Peps thinking
