Pep works wonders on pretty much all players he works with. That's never in question. Pep turning water into wine doesn't mean the person unable to buy the wine in the first place is doing a great job.Doesn't mean we haven't either. We've bought versatile intelligent players that give Pep the freedom to try different tactics and formations. In other words exactly the players Pep wants and needs.
Pep is not a super human though. We are losing significant squad members. Gundo , Kyle's and Bernardo's future is up the air, mahrez and the only addition we got is an injury prone player. I hope it will all turn out to be okay but this is concerning.We didn't get our big targets of Kane,Cucurella or Maguire and every time Pep sorted it ( same is true of Isco and Uncle P sorted that one).
If we don't get Gvardiol Pep will come up with a solution but I'm confident this deal will go through once everyone's calmed down.
