It may be that two of the five just haven’t settled at the same pace as the other three. There is a bit of history of players taking a while to adapt to Peps playing style.
 
Very difficult to assess a player from a handful of games watched on TV. Had seen Koulibally a few times on TV where he looked fantastic and watched more often when we were interested and in those he looked terrible. At 21 he will not be the best left sided centre half yet but may well have the ability to get there and that appears to be the view of Pep and the scouting team. They must be hugely confident they can shape his game to fit our style and he has the ability to develop into the best option for us. Laporte has been absolute quality in the time he has been here and Pep has turned Ake and Akanji into world class players so will go with his choice rather than my guess from a half dozen televised games.Not worried about the price as with advances in cloning we could get 2 for the price of 1.

If some or all the other rumoured moves come off we will will have done a brilliant job of refreshing the squad for little or no net cash outlay. This really is a well run Club.

That maybe, and maybe i am wrong but i judge their failure on not challenging the player in front of them, admittedly Phillips never stood a chance with Rodri, but it must be embarasing when Stones and Lewis gets played in front of you, as for Gomez, Bernado outplayed him.

It’s more likely that Burnley have said sod all to any journalist about the fee City want for Harwood-Bellis.
