Jovetic pulls a hamstring for Montenegro

This is beyond ridiculous ,absolutely fabulous player who can make a difference on his day but riddled with injuries the majority of the time, must have remained with the club and got back to full fitness instead of sustaining an injury again with the national team.

Very harsh criticism

1) He's been available for most matches this season. He was a sub against Roma, and an unused sub away at Villa. Just because he's not been playing recently doesn't mean he's been injured

2) We don't even know if he has been injured or if he is injured what the nature of the injury is.

I saw this thread had been bumped and opened it with a heavy heart. I really hope he's just had a kick. We are missing him badly.

Really?

He's started 7 games of a potential 50+ in 14 months, I think the word is chronic. Yes he's a fantastic talent when fit, however, that isn't often, infact it's a pisstake!!

Of course he's badly injury prone so far, but that's not his fault. We are down to two strikers without him, which is perilous given the fixture congestion we will have coming up over the autumn. And for me he's good enough to be in our best eleven too. So yeah, we will miss him if he's injured.

I didn't disagree with you did I? What I made you aware of, that's if you weren't already, is he can't be relied upon. His record at fiorentina was no different, unfortunately, he isn't showing any signs of getting over this.... We need to recruit IMO!!

What was his previous injury record like? It can't have been as bad, surely?

Must be seriously upsetting for the lad.

We will have to address the striker situation in January and if Jovetic is still with us afterwards, he will have to be the player to be left out of the C/L squad. What use is he if he just can't keep himself fit?

If any new recruit is cup tied, then Jovetic will have to keep his spot, but it still mustn't prevent the club trying to end this recurring problem.

He had only missed a season at Fiorentina which makes it more frustrating from a City point of view,

It mirrors his city career thus far

116 games in 5 years, 1 of them years he was out for the season with Cruciates damage..

He seems a nice kid, and obviously feel for him but he's got serious concerns!!

He has countless injuries in those 5 years, it was thought they were niggling ones due to his age and development!

Similar to Stevie Me and the current situation with Diego Costa. It just takes a more careful management which something the current Montenegrin coach has failed to do.
