What was his previous injury record like? It can't have been as bad, surely?

Must be seriously upsetting for the lad.

He had only missed a season at Fiorentina which makes it more frustrating from a City point of view,

He has countless injuries in those 5 years, it was thought they were niggling ones due to his age and development!

though not the cruciate ligament tear presumably

If Chelsea can manage Costa carefully then it is not beyond our capabilities of doing the same with Jovetic injury concerns.

Jovetic's injury record is poor and we are all sad about that. To compare him to another player at another club is the most pointless excercise. It's a different human being FFS!
