And the '?' in the thread title should be preceding the multiple '!!'.

I blame the parents.

If w can guarantee a permanent €25m sale then I can see him being sold, only if we can get someone like Lacazette in to replace him.

Manchester City In Talks Over £22m Juventus Deal That Could Help Them Sign Paul Pogba

City negotiating smart transfer move this January.

Manchester City are in talks over a £22m deal to sell unwanted striker Stevan Jovetic to Juventus this January, according to the Sun.

The Montenegro international has been largely disappointing for City since he joined the club from Fiorentina last season, failing to establish himself as a regular in the side even after getting over his various injury problems.

Having been a hit in Serie A previously, Jovetic is now wanted back in Italy by champions Juventus, who are ready to take the player off City’s hands as they close in on the £28m signing of Wilfried Bony to strengthen upfront.

City want £22m for the 25-year-old, and it is thought that a deal to send the player to Juve could give the Premier League champions an advantage in a future deal for highly sought-after young midfielder Paul Pogba.

The Frenchman is widely regarded as one of the best young players in the world, and has been linked with City and other top clubs in the past, though it could now be that he will be in line for a move to the Etihad Stadium in the future.

I like Jovetic but can see the sense in what the doubters are saying. His goals to minutes ratio is not bad this season and his link up play can be top draw.
I actually think he would be great linking with Bony. Playing just behind and making space for Bony to exploit. I would Love to give this combo a go before moving him on.

Said it earlier but this could be a masterstroke if it all goes to plan.

Bony in, Jov to Juve gaining us first refusal on Pogba in the summer - I assume Juve haven't got the dollar to pay us now so if it can be done for say £20mil cash going their way, Pogba to us then it would be fantastic and would have boxed off a signing that needs doing.

I wouldn't mind Jovetic going to Juventus if we can get Pogba. I can understand why Juve want Jovetic, also with Tevez not extending his contract (and probably on his way back to Argentina). Their need to sign him might be bigger than us signing Pogba. It would make sense for both parties.
If Pogba comes in however he will naturally comes in as a replacement for Yaya. Now where can Yaya go. PSG is often rumoured, but they have been restricted by FFP. Can't think of another club right now, as Yaya is on enormous wages. He's the one that didn't have his contract changed to a lower salary with bonusses, like Kompany, Aguero, and Silva. And his agent won't let him allow cutting his salary as well. Finally Yaya will never have as good a season as last years'. Still a great player though ...

I'm still hopeful that we could get another season out of Yaya, it would be marvelous if he could be here to help mentor and integrate Pogba. I suppose at the end of the day it will depend on the kind of bids we get for him - if we could still get in excess of £25mil then I'd be tempted but if get tossers offering us £10mil then I'd be inclined to convince him to stay.

Would rather we keep Jovetic until the end of the season UNLESS it means we can secure a deal with Juve over signing Pogba in the summer. If that's the case then I think it would be great business for us as he doesn't really fit into our style of play and Pogba seems ideal for us. I think we might choose to keep Yaya for another season alongside Pogba though.
