I think it's a great appointment. Checks all the boxes. Someone that Pep obviously trusts, a very similar philosophy, and the credibility to push back and offer his own ideas. At the same time he has top level experience so that he could even potentially take over in twelve months if he makes an impression and Pep decides to leave at the end of his deal.

Nothing at all. Though was saying to my son last night it is an odd situation. If Arteta came up with a daft idea it was easy for Pep to say good try son but not today. When it's your mentor it's tempting not to want to knock him back. Seriously though it can only be good having someone so experienced and respected giving thing a fresh view for Pep to bounce ideas off.
