True, although Pep seems to think it is as he doesn’t play many youngsters in the centre of midfield.

I don’t think Bellingham is a bad player, please don’t get me wrong, he’s just not exceptional, like ours are.

I think that’s true of many midfield players though isn’t it with Pep ? Not sure whether I read it somewhere here or elsewhere but even Iniesta had to go through that process before he gave him more responsibility and had gained a level of trust ?

I do like Bellingham thoughI think he’ll mature into a fine player, it’s his fearlessness, his drive and desire that really stands out for me, and I think whilst Pep has many forte’s, his particular pride and joy is knowing all about ‘the midfielder’, I’m sure we at least agree if we do go for him, there’s something there that Pep sees.

I’m not going to be Pep out if Bellingham signs! Pep has enough credit in the bank for me to back his judgement on pretty much any signing, within reason.

I guess, like always with transfers, us fans have different opinions of how good we perceive players to be and therefore what we believe they are worth.

Ultimately, it’s not our money and we aren’t football scouts, so all we have is a feeling of how good each signing is. You only have to compare fan reactions to the signings of Grealish and Haaland. Neither are rubbish, but 100% of us will think Haaland is the better signing and value for money.

If Bellingham comes, I’ll back him like I do every blue. I’d still prefer Pedri to come though!
