They haven’t though. That’s why the debate goes on.
You've decided he’s good enough for us and I haven’t.
Thats it isn’t it?
Did you think Kalvin Phillips was good enough for us when we signed him, even as a squad player?

Honestly? Probably not.Did you think Kalvin Phillips was good enough for us when we signed him, even as a squad player?
Honestly? Probably not.
Time will tell, I guess.
I really do get that mate. Really.Fair enough.
But any top side that signs Bellingham, you're signing him based on what he can and should become, not what he is right now. He's not on Gundogan's level but he's 13 years younger. You would think and hope Bellingham will improve certain aspects of his game considerably in that time. When Gundo was 19 he was hardly tearing it up at FC Nurnberg. He also hadn't been selected for Germany at that time. Bellingham has looked good in a struggling England side of late, captained his club and made his mark in the Champions League. He's also played about three or four times the amount of games at the same age as Gundogan had.
I really do get that mate. Really.
Is he worth £100m based on what he might be?
That’s my issue.
If you could spend £100m on Bellingham or £75m (say) on Bruno up at Newcastle, who would you choose?
Brandt impressed me more tonight for Dortmund.
Bellingham might be the real deal and I’m wide of the mark! If he is, I’ll be glad to be wrong if we do sign him.
I just don’t see it yet.
I don’t disagree with a lot of that.I wouldn't go crazy for him either. I think he will blossom into one of the best of his kind around and he'll be a fantastic signing for anyone, but he's not the be all and end all. I'd happily take Declan Rice for the right money. I think he's fantastic and people seem to forget that he's also just 23. I expect he'll become more advanced when he signs for a better club than West Ham and won't just be a holding player as he is for them and Southgate's England. Guimares would be a fantastic signing too but genuinely seems to want to create a legacy at Newcastle and they obviously don't need the cash any more.
As our rivals I hope they don't sign him, but Bellingham is exactly what Liverpool's are missing right now. Klopp would help turn him into a ridiculous player if he stays around long enough.
