It doesn’t matter what ex players and pundits say or do if their fraud owners can’t or won’t pay the asking price
FSG are looking for extra investment. They will find it. FSG will pay the asking price. As for what City will pay for Bellingham, bar rumour, nobody knows except the people at City who are dealing with the negotiations. Dortmund can’t force Bellingham to sign for City, regardless of what City offer. Bellingham can just run his contract down at the end of 2024-25 and move on a free to any top PL club or European club if he doesn’t get the move he wants. Dortmund won’t let that happen. One thing that may go in City’s favour is Liverpool missing out on a CL place, hopefully.

The need to raise funds correct.but not just for one player .. several , can't see them.spending what Jude is going for on a single player

Pattern.

First is was Hendo, then Trent, and now Slippy G. My money is on Salah next to appear with Jude somewhere.

And what does it tell you?

That the same sources who six months ago insisted he had already agreed to go to Liverpool, were lying.

It's a public charm offensive exactly because there is no agreement in place with them.

If your charm offensive is Henderson, Arnold and a retired midfielder who never won a Premier League title, you know how far you have slipped.

Pun intended!

...and if that's what they are doing in public, can you imagine what's going on behind closed doors?

Well he hasn't had a midfielder with his potential for a start. Even when they were world-class and one of the top few teams in Europe, their midfield was only functional.

They’ve had plenty of midfielders with potential. He had Coutinho who he chose to sell. He had Henderson who had potential. He signed Wijnaldum who was rated to have potential and did very well. He signed Fabinho and Keita, who were both young and highly rated, for over £100M. Reports were City were also interested them, but we signed Bernardo for his potential instead. He signed Tiago who was rated as one of the best in the world at the time. Players like Oxlade-Chamberlain and Minamino signed for their potential. He’s also signed Harvey Elliot, who was compared to Messi when he first came. He also had Curtis Jones come through the youth, who they rated highly.

I don’t think Klopp is the best at developing a midfielders attacking game. Most of his successful midfielders are the ones who win the ball back. They don’t play with midfielders like we do. They play a lot of long balls to the wide positions, cutting out the midfield. That’s why without Mane they aren’t as good, as he was brilliant at winning those second balls back, high up the pitch in attacking positions. I think if Bellingham went there, he wouldn’t improve much more than his current level. Pep is the one who could turn Bellingham into a crazy player, hopefully he’s aware of that too. If City lose Gundo then we have just 2 attacking midfielders, if we lose Bernardo too, there’s only KDB in the entire squad, and he’s the wrong side of 30. I don’t think building a team around a player is what he needs. Instead he needs to come in and improve on his attacking game.

A very popular player with the England crowd today every time he touched the ball.

If he comes to the premier league, shirt sales will rocket.
Nah you know the score, Jack wasn't given any grief apart from Birmingham fans to my knowledge now whoever we play he's on full BOOOOOO treatment from the crowd whoever we play.

It'll just be a rinse and repeat with Jude, if he can handle it great if not he COULD (capitals to stress the point could) bottle it & fail.
