Gave up trainspotting when I saw Britannia, 70000, shunting on Ashton Moss.Trainspotting in a field near Hartford & Greenbank station, those were the days. The curved windshields on the Coronation Class trains thundering southward down the gradient towards the station, shear bliss.
God bless you Sir William Stanier.

Broke my heart.
I now plane spot, as I'm at the 7 mile mark for 23R at Manchester airport.
