Jude Bellingham

The "who else" tells you everything you need to know about him and the people around him at the moment. It's all about brand Bellingham and he really doesn't give a fuck about the team. It's the reality for a certain type of high ability but narcissistic footballer in the modern world of EA cards and fanboys of individual players. Fake Ronaldo and the rivalry with Messi created it and now we will forever have this kind of shit including from lesser players such as Bellingham. His role models will be fake Ronaldo and Mbappe, not the likes of Rodri or Modric.

If he can win a tournament with this approach he'll be fine but if not people will tire of him. Doubtless he'll have a big moan at that point and go about 'tall poppy' syndrome but the reality is if you are going to be an arrogant prick then you'd better be able to back it up. The better alternative would be for him to grow up a bit and play like it's a team sport. That would be a win win all round but that depends on him and his entourage caring enough about anybody else 'winning' other than him.

His movement is absolutely pony. He is never on for the pass - always wants to be on the end of the move or the one who delivers the key pass. He’s Mr Ego, everything has to be about him. Great goal today but for 90 mins he huffed and puffed and got in the way. Foden will probably lose his place in the side now (that’s a different conversation) but he will remain.
We knew all this before the tournament.
He's become so obsessed with himself he stifles the creative energy from the rest of the team. It's OK when he plays for Madrid as he sees the other players as his equals. Even for them his form in the second half of the season was pretty ordinary...
