I would hope that his point is that there are people out there who mourn her loss, and much more importantly her family. They are having to go through her death, and mourn her, while there are people dancing in the streets, and saying stuff like 'dancing on Thatcher's corpse' - off course they can hate her, but to say stuff as sick as some of the comments have been just show an absolute disregard for anyone else except yourself. Anyway, that's how I read his post.

It's also strange that the people going way, way over the top with some comments are the ones who support social housing, the NHS, benefits for the needy in our society. Basically decent individuals who want the best for the least well off in our society - you'd like to think caring people. For them to come out with some of the hate filled bile they have is just a little disconcerting, and as I said above show an absolute disregard for anyone else except themselves.

I left school in '83 so my life was adversely affected by her policies and the destruction of industry. I followed City home (from '80) and away (from '84), so my civil liberties were breached many many times by her police force, I was a raver from '88 onwards, where she made having a good time illegal. They are just minor personal points.

My mum is old now old will probably be gone in 5-10 years, she is not responsible for smashing our manufacturing base, turning families against each other, turning pit villages into heroin villages, killing those young men on The Belgrano, torturing Irishmen, the list is endless.
My mum has lived a good life and has no enemies - just people who love her. If you want to raise a glass and sing "Ding Dong", feel free, I couldn't give a fuck.

She's been held up as an icon of the political right in this country since her Premiership and it was blindingly obvious that when she died the right would go over the top with their "mourning" whilst the left went over the top with their "celebrating". For what it's worth it didn't like her when she was alive and I haven't changed my opinion now she's dead.

With regards to the record, it's in bad taste but then again spending public money on her funeral whilst at the same time inflicting cuts on the most vulnerable in country is, in my humble opinion, an awful lot worse.
