I rate him highly but 80m Euros for a midfielder with no great marketing appeal? Not a chance.

As much as I would like to have him at City, he may be best advised to stay in Dortmund. He's still very young, continuing to improve, plays for a great club, playing at the sharp end (top of the table and CL) and appears to have the trust of his manager.

Agreed. I just meant to say there is a huge potential as he seems to be quite special. And nobody would sell someone like him now, looking at the expected market price development. But it's not so much about money. He just seems to have a great future. No need to leave his club at all.

Indeed, looks like we will have to wait until next summer to go back and get Weigl and Aubameyang. :)
