ssn said he was registerd yesterday but not seen anything about fielding ineligible player
If that´s true (which it prolly isn´t - SNN?!) then they would be royally fooked and there would be an FA inquiry as to who allowed it on the day of the game. Had to be registered by 5pm Fri surely?

Yeah, I'm sure that's incorrect reporting from SSN. No way would he have been registered on the day of the game.

Like I said earlier, United wouldn't make such a stupid mistake. Without trying to sound disrespectful, these kind of oversights tend to be limited to the smaller clubs that aren't as professionally run.

Ferguson is quoted in the press this morning as saying, " He approached me a few weeks ago about playing again."

Obviously thought he would keep it quiet and surprise us.

Certainly surprised me. Nearly pissed myself when I realised it wasn't a joke.

He's lucky we didn't equalise because if we had gone on to win the tie, I think it would of gone down as one of the biggest ricks he's dropped in 20 years.

He was sent off in the semi, that was in April, there was still more fixture in April & May so that's that out the window...

He was registered 1st Jan apparently so, there's the other out the window too...

just on a side note whats the rule regarding the 25 man squad is that only applicable in the Prem ?

thats a very interesting question

What i find hilarious is that this was all sorted out a few weeks ago and they decided to keep it quiet and "unleash" him on us in the FA Cup. PMSL. Was it supposed to psyche us out or something? Loved Mancini's reaction, "I asked David (Platt) to sit on our bench."
