sorry to hear mate.

She had been bad for a while with organ failures and legs giving up. On the last visit to the vet she let out a heavy sigh as she arrived and that was her last breath, almost as though she knew the injection was waiting and decided to go her own way.
Still get very emotional now when I think about it. It truly is like losing a member of your family, when they have been with you for so long and provided so much love it is hard not to feel that way.

alfies stuff is still on the bedroom floor mate where i eventually moved it from the kitchen about 3 weeks ago. its so final moving it out of eyeshot.
i pick up his collar every so often, but it is still painful.
the pain does subside a little with time pal....in time, i'm sure you'll be able to look back with fondness rather than hurt

I did the same in November the other year. I don't think I've been as upset as that ever in my life. Truly horrible thing. Dogs really are a man's best friend!LoveCity said:It's as bad as losing a family member... he was 13 and called Chester, I took this just before the vets arrived. I couldn't watch and let my parents deal with it. Dogs are the most amazing thing in the world.
