with all due respect blue, fuckin bollox.been follwing city for 'donkeys years'and not always followed protocol with regards purchasing tkts but fuuck me have i spent a small fortune supporting our beloved club from a very early age.i have paid ridiculous amounts of money to be able to watch city whether it be silly money off a spiv outside wembley/ewood park or even selhurst park just to get a glimpse of the mighty blues not to mention the hard earned cash spent on merchandise from the club shop and other mcfc retail outfits or major expense costs going to half a dozen trips in europe.what do i get in return?DOUBLE FUCKIN DISCOUNT UNTIL THE 12th DECEMBER ON MY SEASON TKT!as always, thankyou for your loyal support.
Not sure what your point is here,

You get a discount in the shop as a S/C holder and if you've have had it a few years, with your european trips and away games, you'll be first in the queue.

What's your problem?
no major gripe pal but a S/C holder on and off for many a year but on record my loyaylty does not appear to be continuious according to some, therefore why should i be entitled to be first in the queue?

Don't understand that bit mate but as someone said 'points make prizes'

If you have the points you're more than entitled to be first in the queue

if i'd have known that back then as a kid walking 8 miles along kingsway in the freezing snow and ice cos there wasn't any buses on boxing day in 85/86 then believe me mate i would of signed up there and then.(as a previous poster has said,"just keep going to every away game".yeah sure, piece of piss.)

What the OP is saying is that the rich have the means to get richer.

Because they have the points to buy tickets, they buy them then sell them on AND gain the extra points, without having to go to the expence of actualy attenending the game.

So the supporter attending shells out £200-£500 but doesn't get the benefit of the points.

I'm in with the Juve fans, probably all 12 of them, it's going to be less attendance than a friendly, it'll probably be just a friendly anyway.

Ahh I'm with you now mate, sorry for being a bit slow and I now understand, as in loyalty pre 2003 counts for nothing.

I realise that's a real kick in the balls, my first game was 1979 btw, but I can't think of a fairer way to do it (ie loyalty points )

-- Sat Dec 11, 2010 1:23 am --

And what is your solution?

Follow us home and away plus cup schemes and you'll be there in no time

true pal however this practice does benefit alot of fans that do struggle to get tkts at certain games(i for one) but what pisses alot of people off is the way some smug numptys believe they are holier than thou because they have been able to commit more time into following city week in week out .

I go to most games (6000+ points) and am going next week but the loyalty points system has concerned me for a while.

How do young fans get anywhere near the front of the queue when those of us that were there at the start of the points scheme keep going?

To address this issue and give younger fans a chance to catch up, I would give more points per match to fans who are under 30?

You can't change the format on a whim, it's not x factor. There's nothing wrong with the points system we have, whether people like it or not the fans who chose to do other things whilst city were getting beat at Brighton will have less points than those that went, it's bloody simple, it was their choice.I have given up my season ticket up a few times over the years so I too have struggled to get to games and have relied on fellow blues to help out. They will have done so cos at that time they had the points, I didn't grumble I was grateful.so now if I can help a blue out I will, I don't buy tickets to get points, I can't do west ham but I didn't get tickets to sell on. I did though buy 3 arsenal tickets and I'm only using 2 (Jess is working ) so I will sell the spare to a fellow blue who I'm sure will be pleased I have, I then of course will get points for that game, well Jess will, had she not been working she'd love to be there, she usually is as a lot on here know.
Maybe some people do buy tickets for points but most are just genuine blues that can't make it so A, get their money back and B, help a blue out, I honestly can't see what's wrong with that.
