M23 is half right, in that 4 times in 90 mins we played some lovely football. So they attacked and defended better, that's a corker that is. Yeah we were fine apart from the defending and attacking bit.

We're scared to take risks because we know we're vulnerable. So we play safe and slow, and get punished anyway. That forces us to come out and play with more purpose, but we get punished for that too because we weren't wrong about the vulnerability.
Meek when we should be bold. Brittle when we should be free-flowing.
This is absolutely not just an absence of Rodri problem, but every match we play without him seems to justify that Ballon d'Or more. He certainly does have a useful habit of being everywhere we need him to be on the pitch.
No mateWhilst there is some truth in that, our system would hide that. At the moment, the structure is hanging them out to dry.
There’s no one to replace them though as they’re all injured.
this^^^ top four has to be number one prority now to get the right signings but the bottom line is have we got enough in us to do it, sadley i dont think so and can only see us slipping down the tableForget europe, win enough games to get top 4.
She doesn’t track back, apparently…Bit harsh. At least spare the tea lady.
Dunno about u21’s, just looked at their 5-0 thrashing by Lincoln.Things are not going to be getting any better until we can get replacements in January, if they do indeed come then. I expect we just have to accept we are going to struggle to win any games in the next 2-3 weeks. Any points we get between now and then I’m taking as a bonus.
At this point I would just play the u21s ahead of Walker, Gundogan, Lewis and a few others as at least they will have some energy and let’s be honest they can’t be any worse.
This season is now about digging in and surviving somehow. We will probably be somewhere around 8th come January, but it’s totally doable to come back from there and still get top 4.
Do you think he would play the shadow of himself like Pep persistsWhen can he start?
I agree, we need to be far more compact as a team. The way we defend when we turn over possession is becoming a joke.None of that should matter, if Pep would cut his cloth, according to what we’ve got available. Continuing to play that high line, with no pressing and slow ball is just suicidal.
Can’t we ever just sit deep, in a low block and attempt to play on the counter?
