Juventus (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

The main issue, even if everyone was fit, is that there are players who are well past their best and others who will never be good enough for an elite team
Whilst there is some truth in that, our system would hide that. At the moment, the structure is hanging them out to dry.

There’s no one to replace them though as they’re all injured.

Pep's been out greatest ever manager and it's up for debate as to whether he's the greatest manager ever, anywhere. But I think he is tired and hasn't got the energy required for the massive rebuild. Liverpool have improved this year not because Slot is a genius but because he is different.
The players need something different and I think the fans do too. Sideways City as someone pointed out earlier.
Really strange that he extended when he did with this writing on the wall.

Doesn't even look like we know what we are doing. How can a team be so slow with the ball yet so open to attacks? The fact nothing is changing is a joke and it's not all down to injuries. We haven't even attempted anything different. Gonna take a long time to rebuild this team and atm there are no signs of any improvement

Pretty character less performance . Make all the right noises off the pitch which then makes more of a mockery on it when we are so bland. It’s not so much a lack of effort it’s belief. Really dissatisfied with Jack though as he really doesn’t give us that much of anything to make a difference.

We have a lot of sunshine fans on here. I'd love to see how they'd have coped with the late 1990s. Getting dicked 4-0 at home by Wimbledon, for example. Stockport coming to Maine Road, and Tony Dinning giving it the big 'un in front of the North Stand. I seriously doubt they were around back then, though.
Probably the same way if we had social media then, don’t forget back then it didn’t cost a lot to follow City back then, people have spent £100s to go abroad to see that shite which is the same as last week etc. At what point can they vent because we were shit 16 years ago, Pep needs to change the system for the players available.

Right from the kick-off we did not want it and ghosted the game to the point that questions needed to be asked

Even at one-down needing to score we would not get the ball in the box and just passed it around from left to right
Nobody wants to take the game by the scruff of the neck and push and speed the game up, It is so slow and lacks ideas and creativities from the players,

KDB does not want the ball, Haaland is hiding and walking around, Doku does not get any help, Grealish just passes it back.

The City players do not have a clue what their plans are or how to open teams up it's crazy how bad we are right now

I’ve still not forgiven Dinning for that.

Jesus wept that was a bad one.

Out of tonight's back 4, only one of them can actually defend.

The current midfield set up is incapable of protecting the back 4, and has no athleticism or physicality whatsoever

Out of the current midfield, only one player is capable of playing a dangerous ball and creating chances.

And out of the current team only one player is capable of scoring goals on a reasonably consistent basis, and he's out of form in front of goal.

Apart from that there's fuck all wrong

This is the result of signing average, mediocre players in recent years. Players with no real spark or standout quality. We believed KDB would stay at the top forever and didn’t plan ahead. The truth is, we’ve always been a team that revolved around one player: first in the David Silva era, then during KDBs prime. We hit the jackpot with those, but now it’s risky, and there’s no guarantee we’ll get it right again. Come summer, we’ll need to spend at least 400 million, no question. The problem is, real quality is so rare these days, most players are just workhorses now.
It seems when quality becomes available we either dither or refuse to pay the extra fee quid.

He ran about, but didn’t create anytHing and kept slowing things down…just what you need against a back 5 and holding mids shielding them.
No one else slowed it down though? People see what they want to see

Who the fuck is our Captain? And when I mean Captain, who is the leader on the pitch? I really don't know...

If we have got to the point where nobody can take ownership on the pitch then there is something wrong.
