Picked 3 tickets up today. Staying in Milan on Weds. Is it better to book trains in advance? Any others in milan and what time you planning to get the train to Turin on Thurs?

Me and My Mrs are in Milan on the weds and getting the train on the thursday, probably about dinner time-ish but depends on whether ther is a booze ban in Turin, then we r staying in Turin after the game

So you really think the officials / Authorities are going to stand there on the night, checking the name on your match ticket against your ID.

PLEASE

Spike. You've done lots of trips around Europe. Is this sort of thing ever enforced? If so, will have to hope it goes open sale or risk it.
For normal games in Italy you can only buy your ticket with some form of id.For foreigners a passport will do. Your name will be printed on the ticket. On entering the ground your id will be asked for and the name on the id must match that on the ticket,if not the stewards can turn you away. It's a law which is now seriously enforced for their league games. As for Europa League my advice would be to take your passport to the game anyway.
Sorry if it's already been mentioned but train travel info for Italy is on the Trenitalia website
Enjoy your trip guys.

went to timisoara and poznan this season great trips on them both . goin juve may have a spare ticket there is a name on the back in pen but would not worry about that, its a mates who got ticket but work and all that may not be going .. face value

Why not just return the ticket to the box office, aslong as you do it a week before the game?

No way I'm taking my passport to the game. Taking my driving licence and hope thats enough.

Was thinking the same.
No way am I roaming around Turin with my Passport on me, ticket back home is more important than match day ticket thanks!

tell us. those who have tickets. whats the score on the name on ticket.
easy to remove or change?. is it wrote in pen or printed?

the names are just written on the back and could easily be changed. remember it will be dark and written in english so if it looks like your name after a bit of doctoring they wiil never notice . could you be arsed trying to read badly wriiten italian at night

I've done it, Manchester's version of Kojak has got the answer!!!

2 of us flying into Milan Malpensa at about 10am on 16th, is anyone getting a train from Milan to Turin. I'm gash at sorting this stuff out but it looks as though I need to get a bus/train from the airport to Gallarate station -train from there to Milan Central and then Milan to Turin.

Anyone found anything easier?

Just for those who are interested, here is a ticket map of the Stadio Olimpico di Torino: -

We are in the East stand which is a family/friends stand (grey bit).

"East Forum
The East Stand of the Olympic Stadium in Turin is the meeting place of families within the ground. On the right, before the North Scirea is a separate sector reserved for fans of visiting teams and Curva Maratona is known as Curva Nord Scirea."
