Kaka

Would be a good signing but I don't think he fits the profile. He's 29 now and apart from Yaya we've not bought anyone over 25 recently, not counting the Barry/Lescott/Toure etc from the previous manager.

I'm pretty sure BM is trying to get a team together of under 25's that can grow together for the next 5-7 years with a sprinkling of over 28 year olds remaining on but becoming more squad players.

Would I have him, damn right I would, but I think it unlikely.

Both had good attitudes though, and that's what people are questioning.

Did i watch the same Elano as you??
Fair enough he didn't have the best attitude but he was prepared to put a shift in and did perform in away games. Plus I remember him playing right back for several games and not complaining. He was stupidly let go by Hughes which is a shame as he would have been very useful right now as a back up for Silva. Fuckin' Hughes.

Manchester City are set to make a cash-plus-player bid for Real Madrid star Kaka, according to the Daily Mail.

City had made a high-profile attempt to sign the Brazil international in the January 2009, prior to his Summer move to Real Madrid for 68m Euros.

At the time, the player chose to stay at Milan until the end of the season, but now, with the players' inability to command a regular first-team spot, City are set to make another attempt to bring him to the Premier League, and he is expected to be more keen on the possibility, as he looks to regain form after a series of injuries.

The newspaper reports that a bid of £22.5m, plus wantaway striker Emmanuel Adebayor, could be enough to convince Real to part with the former Milan man.

ou just never know.......

If a Brazilian is ever going to fit into a side, it's now under Mancini's system. Kaka is a role model athlete and if injuries stay away then he would be brilliant.

Did i mention his wife is an absolute stunner?

The Daily Mail have one of the worst records (amongst a right pile of shit) on transfer rumour accuracy.

Shirt sales and international interest would pay off the transfer fee.

But, I have major doubts on whether he'd settle here. Since his injury woes he's shown glimpses of his former brilliance but has been very inconsistent and this is in Spain. He might be worth a punt but it would be at the expense of potentially more useful transfer targets.

MEN reporters obviously use Newsnow as well......
