Kalidou Koulibaly

*In my opinion*
Upamecano ( we can also use Angelino to reduce the price)
Pau Torres
Söyüncü
Konate
Kamara
Kounde
Gimenez
R.Dias
Keep in mind that Koulibaly had a bad season and he is 29. Im aware that some of the players I mentioned currently r not better than Koulibaly but they all much cheaper, younger( except Gimenez) with huge potential.
We need an experienced centre half. Most of those mentioned are still developing and the likes of Giminez and Soyuncu wouldn’t necessarily be cheaper than Koulibaly.

Even though I rate Ake, my preference would have been Koulibaly and Upamecano.

Which are available?

Given his age and skill level I’d go all out for Upamecano before the Messi madness kicks in

For the right price? All of them.
Negotiations will be much easier than with the greedy president of Napoli. And when I say the right price I still mean it will be cheaper than Koulibaly and for sure better value for money.

Cn we cut out this ridiculous idea that Upamecano will be cheaper than Koulibaly? He won't. Not by a long shot.

My problem with where are are right now is that we have been shopping for value for years now — only buying when there was a release clause or we could box the player off. This isn’t been a complete disaster of course as it has allowed us to avoid some really expensive mistakes and we have obviously won a ton.

But the risk of the strategy you’re looking for is that you spend more money over time as you cycle through better value players who don’t quite work out (like our forays at DM and FB)We would have been best off buying Koulibaly 3 or 4 years ago and just paying the premium price to have solidified our position. Your list has plenty of player with promise who are better values but if we think Koulibaly is actually materially better IMO we need to dip into that market more

I assume - although your hands betrayed you by typing 'Koulibaly and Upamecano' - your mind really intended for that to read 'Mason Holgate'?

;-)

Didn't say they don't know what there doing, is that all you've got to offer child like comments ffs.
Thanks but what kind of adult thinks that the people who manage this club don't have a list of multiple backup plans. In essence my child like comment was a commentary saying your post was essentially ridiculous.

Hopefully, ADL is looking closely at the Messi situation and realize how little we ought to care about him.

My post was ridiculous was it, saying I hope they have a plan B and C, don't think it was the City board don't always get it right, and it's a very tight transfer window this season.

Your reply was ridiculous, what muppet would reply "this isn't there first signing and the City heirachy have done this before"

I won't go on about what kind of adult thinks this n that, I have respect for fellow supporters.

A ridiculous post deserves a ridiculous reply. A post saying I hope we have a plan B and C is about like saying I hope the plane I'm flying has enough fuel to make it to my destination. It's a no brainer mate.

Listen fella if the KK deal falls through I hope City have enough time to sign plan B or C, because we need someone in, and it's a tight transfer window.

Like you say, City probably have a list of players, but when I say plan B I'm also talking about time to sign them.

Have a good evening fellow blue..
