Kalidou Koulibaly

Possibly yes, as Jorge Messi was non-the-wiser when he landed in Barcelona as to what was happening and only found out what was going on when he spoke with Bartomeu and was told Messi was staying.

I have no doubt we will sign another barrage of young kids, all of whom will never once see the Etihad playing surface, well not playing for this club at least.

I am sure if Khaldoon was involved then Koulibaly would either be here now, or we would have moved onto other targets, as he wouldn't accept this Napoli president stringing him along like a puppet on a string
Why are you saying things like you know them for facts?

So why isn't Khaldoon involved now? or let me guess, you know hes too busy shining his shoes and polishing the cutlery?
Then when the window closes he will turn up at the etihad and be baffled why hes not seeing Koulibaly.

Fck me, can you just stop with this nonsense.

True. My post was about KK being our main target where we are already in the know that this deal is going to be difficult. City would have thought they have some aces up their sleeves owing to Napoli's weak position financially and that hasn't work either.
I am saying KK is no Maldini so just find another target CB to buy.
Very hard to find another CB of great quality. Gimenez was mentioned earlier but Atletico would want 120 € million ( release clause) just to talk

But yet we are STILL trying to overpay for a 29 year old defender and not even getting any closer to securing the deal.

But we still paid £41 for Ake, a defender whose side were relegated last season and who we again overpaid for immensely

But we still wasted 2 weeks waiting for Messi to do what he has done every season for the last 5 at least, whinge, whine and then agree to stay at Barcelona.....all the while, our focus on getting all the other positions fixed we needed was left, until the Messi saga was over.

We got him in very early, yes for a good deal, due to Valencia needing the money and him only having 12 months on his contract left, Ollie Watkins price is stupid, but that is what you get when you are a poor side, you get a wad and throw it around without really improving, we have been in that position, not now, we are supposed to have the masterminds of that great Barcelona era from 2006-2014 at our club, well you would have fooled me, as I bet he wasn't this incompetent when employed by that club.

Until they are signed you do not know who and for how much we are trying to sign someone.
Do not believe posters or twitter, they do not know.
Coutinho was £140 million, Dembele£100, Pogba90 million , Felix £120 million. Have we made howlers like that , no.
Have we spent more than £65 million for a single signing ? Not in the top 20 of major signings, no we have not.
Our club are very well run, buying young players with potential and a long shelf life, you underestimate how good they are, because they do not follow your instructions.
You or anybody do not know if we wanted Messi, and if we did what we would have offered, regards Kk, I agree a short term signing , no resale value, wouldn't pay more than £40 MILLION, or leave him with his president, in fact wouldn't deal with that club at all..
Fans , don' t give a shit about , finances or wage structure (Not my money). But the club do.
We are in a strong position, have won 7 trophies in 3 seasons , yet people still think our hierarchy are shite, unbelievable.

Agree 100% I'm sure if there was a host of other clubs trying to buy him we would be more focussed. Dealing with Napoli is a nightmare, they are known to constantly change the goalposts so I'm with you - we are handling this the right way.
Think that paying more than 50mil in this challenging times is madness. Hope we don’t sign this guy.

Do you have any idea what sarcasm is? BTW that you had 22 messages when i posted this and joined the forum this month are also FACTS... so what are you on about?
It doesn't matter if someone has 22, 100, 5k or 100 thousand messages on BM, we are all blues, and the fact you quoted this says more about you than him.

we are all blues

So NO ONE who posts here isn't? I was responding to someone who had their facts askew going on and on about how KK is our only plan. I was not doing anything other than calling that out as a farce (in a farcical manner) and essentially defending the club for not being that short sighted. If you have an issue with that and feel the need to interject to defend someone who is making stupid statements about our transfer practices- cheers.

I don't think he's not a blue. He's just pretty naive and assumes that the media is party to everything we are doing or everyone we are speaking to.

I agree, Txiki really does struggle to get complex deals over the line.

He doesn't seem to back himself or have the cajones for me.

Garry Cook on the other hand had a more aggressive transfer strategy which laid the foundations at City for many years.
