I think you read my post with a panic voice. I’m calm, just very keen on this not failing because it could have a bigger negative effect on next season than most people think.
Also, Napolis president screwed us before.

Reading between the lines on the news coming out of Italy
Napoli are making it known the acceptable price that they would accept, €70m . They are hoping to reel in other bidders at this price
we haven’t come anywhere near this price as yet so are keeping council and letting it play out for a week or so
it also seems like we have KK hook in terms of contract agreement
this follows our usual MO and it’s always a risky strategy that you get gazumped and that the other club can convince kk to renege on his deal with us

I think a bigger issue for us at this stage is that their supposed replacement, Gabriel, might end up at Arsenal after they have been lining him up for a while.
If they don't have a backup, I wouldn't be surprised to see ADL stall until they do or completely stop the transfer if they don't identify anyone else.
Hopefully everyone just gets their act together to get this one over the line ASAP. From our POV, we vitally need our new CB in for pre-season given the uncertainty over the right side position and the intense upcoming schedule, so the club have a week to get it sorted.

And you know we haven't made an offer to Napoli how exactly? It's basically impossible to believe at this point that we're not trying to sign Koulibaly. Pre season only going to be a week or 2 so doesn't make much difference this year. Think it will be done before our players come back anyway.The season starts in a few weeks. This signing is too crucial to wait that amount of time - he needs the full preseason with us.

Pre-season starts on the 31st for us. First game against Villa probably on the 15th. Liverpool has been in pre-season since last week... We should have all the new players with us since the first day of pre-season to make up for the two weeks.
Jorginho went on holiday..He is probably on holiday and when he is due back I expect us to get the fee agreed. It will happen but will be a few weeks yet imo.

Not really the same though, we've spent the last 3 weeks training and playing while they were off, a break is more important than pre season. Still I expect out transfers in to be done by the the end of the month.Pre-season starts on the 31st for us. First game against Villa probably on the 15th. If Txiki doesn’t wrap this up, we will struggle next season. Chelsea would have no problem scoring against us with their new formidable trio, nor United, Arsenal or Liverpool.
I honestly can’t believe what the club is doing. This guy is not one of several high quality options on the market - he is the option and exactly what we need. How they can play such a high risk strategy with a baller of this calibre is beyond me. He’s not a decent footballer, he’s among the worlds best CBs and the season starts in just a few weeks time.

Our first game is the 19th vs. Wolves. The Villa game is postponed.
