They should go for Douglas Luiz who Villa will probably let go now that they have Kamara. I think he's in the final year of his contract and also I believe there's still a sell on clause to us. Win,win.

Yeah,decent shout.

I suspect Villa would want more than the reported Philips fee though.

Did we have a sell on? i thought it was just a now expired buy back?

Manchester City Retain Sell-On Clause in Premier League Midfielder's Contract

A new report by the Athletic's David Ornstein has highlighted how Manchester City still hold a sell-on clause in the contract of Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz.

This was from back in Feb. Says the buy back clause expired, but still a sell on clause.

Isn’t the new rule that players over a certain age there harder restrictions but players under 21 there is no restrictions.

The transfer clause has also been mentioned plenty of times in the press, no smoke without fire, we would not be wasting time on a player that did not want to join us.

Fascinating! Can offer them Herrera, Delap, Macca, Couto, Kabore, Kayky... we’ve got loads to offer. BUT if we offer a player, doesn’t that point towards there being no clause, Matty?
