Leeds wouldn’t have known about Grealish clause and the amount though mate? It’s now or never for him imo and I think it’s extremely telling he’s moving agency to where other city players are as well? Lots of England teammates at city, the best manager in the world, champions league football no matter what and going for trophies every season? No disrespect but don’t think he fancies fighting relegation again
No reason for Leeds to know about any clause Grealish had mate I agree.

But people on an Internet forum somehow know the intricate details of a contract signed years ago by a player from a different club?

How much do you think Jack Harrison was worth to you now?

We discounted his sale as part of the Phillips interest. We originally set it at £18m but settled for £11m because Leeds needed to do more business.

Harrison's goal on final day was probably worth £200m to you ;)
They were already safe before his winner.

If Phillips is worth £35mil then about £10mil ;-)

We'd have stayed up without Harrison's goal incidentally.

So not only do you guys think a mystery release clause exists for a very low fee which nobody has activated in the 3 years since the contract was signed (something not mentioned by any of the many many journalists ours or yours) or any of our various fan itks (we have those also).

A clause Kalvin insisted on as a Championship player despite us already showing we would sell him for a fee of the same amount of this clause to Villa never mind a Champions League club.

But also Manchester City decided to give us a £7mil reduction on the understanding we would help them out if they decided to buy KP in the future.

Even though any Champions League team could seemingly activate this clause at any time and make the reduction pointless or we could have sold KP to West Ham for £55mil a few months back and that reduction would still have got you no benefit?

Dont mean to be rude but these stories and whatnot just comes across as drunk blokes in a pub telling each other tales.

When he was younger, Leeds almost didn't sign him in part to his lack of pace.

He plays in a defensive 2 at Leeds why wouldn't he be in situations to win headers? Maybe he if put himself in those positions more they wouldn't have the 2nd worst defensive record in the league?
Sign him? He came through their academy

I don't doubt you are a pull for him with your money and trophy aspirations.

But he is a very different character to Grealish who always had a selfish streak (can see that with how he acts off the pitch).

So Grealish, Mr Arrogant leaving his boyhood club for you wasn't that much of a shock to me.

Kalvin is a far more grounded lad I'd say and I do think that will make any deal far more difficult.
Couldn’t be further from the truth

Grealish was arrogant lol.

Even Villa fans said as much.

An arrogant party boy who was often on the back pages for the wrong reasons.

Selfishly doing things that were embarrassing for his boyhood club for years.

That is what I meant.

Phillips isn't like that, never had any headlines like that.

That is what I meant by different characters.

Doesn't make Jack a bad person just means that maybe he makes decisions a little differently.
Did the Villa fans say this after he left them by any chance?

How do you rate him as a player, do you think he would be a good signing for us. If his choice is to stay at Leeds so be it, but it is a short career and I think it would be a difficult move for him to reject. As a supporter of any club it is hard when a more successful club tries to signs your players (we have been there). If a buy out exists and a club meets it the choice is down to Philips, if it doesn't exist Leeds will set a price and it would then be up to a club to meet that price or move on. We will see how it plays out in the next few weeks. Congratulations on staying up I think the Premier League is better with dirty Leeds in it.
He is a very good player who found a niche for himself in Bielsa's very regimented system.

It suited his passing range, reading of the game and ability to break up play.

I think given the influence and similarities between Guardiola and Bielsa KP would find adaption quite easy and I did say on our forum once I heard Fernandinho was leaving that I fully expected you to go for KP because of the Bielsa schooling.

The only downside or worry for you is first he has looked less than comfortable since Bielsa left in Marsch's system .

It is possible that outside of the exact role Bielsa had him in he may not thrive in the same way . And whilst Pep uses a similar system to Bielsa it isnt totally identical.

He also does have quite a bad injury reputation over the last few years.

As I say I don't begrudge him leaving but I Don't believe the clause stuff or that you will get him for anything like the fee you think.

If he is able to adapt to a slightly different (but similar role) for you should he sign then he would do well.

But its not certain.

small suggestion -

if you don't mean to be rude, don't go into other clubs forums and be rude.

Possibly, but Pep has form in not using 5 subs even when he is allowed to.

Pep said after the title win "remember we have 5 substitutes next season" with the biggest grin ever I think he's purposely made less subs to play mind games on clubs deciding, Pep was always a massive advocate for 5 substitutions but refused to use all available U-boats at any time, honestly I think he was pushing for them without making it look like we actually had an advantage of any kind due to our lack of subs that's a masterstroke if so, now it's been fully implemented next season I reckon he'll start using all 5 U-boats (subs) in most games and completely throttle this league think we'll also see more kids get game time from the bench.

Maybe I'm giving Pep more credit than he deserves or I'm overthinking this but it wouldn't surprise me at all, he's just getting started you can see the happiness time to really start dominating domestically 3 more years Txiki get it sorted and signed by Pep.

IIRC we averaged 4.8 subs per game during project restart when 5 subs were available.

Your last line makes me think you might be new to the internet.
