Loan. That's a bad deal, IMO.

Isn't that what City want? I am guessing they still see him as a high quality player, even if he doesn't work in our system, and expect him to do well on loan.

Clearly he's been linked with loads of teams, so a chance to get a higher price in the Summer?
 
Loads of clubs want Phillips but none of them have any money , they want to pay a derisory loan fee and probably only cover part of his wages , why should we give a way a £50m asset for next to nothing. We know he wants to play football for the sake of his international career but we dont owe him anything , he has been well paid and overall has disappointed on the pitch.
If a club wants to sign him then let them dig deep and pay the money otherwise he can stay on the bench and cotribute when required
